Phraseography
Phraseography is simply joining several words together without lifting the pen. The main aim of stenography is to write as quickly as you can and that speed can only be achieved with the joining of two or more words.
If you write every word separately, the speed will get reduced resulting in missing of several words while you are taking a dictation.
